Nigma Galaxy SEA Bids Farewell to Their DOTA 2 Team

Nigma Galaxy SEA (NGX SEA) announced that they have released their entire Dota 2 lineup via twitter last night.

This decision appears to have been taken in response to a string of disappointing performances throughout the 2022 season. It is well known that NGX SEA performances were erratic throughout the previous 2021–2022 Tour 3 DPC SEA competition. They only managed to get one victory out of seven.

Eventually, they failed to go further to the qualification round of The International 11 SEA Qualifier on September 13th, 2022 after an unexpected defeat to Xerxia in the lower bracket. Though NGX SEA had a good round, it was not enough to overcome the dogged Philippines representative. The score ended 1-2 with the win for Xerxia.

This official announcement means mizu, alaCrity, boombui and jhocam are now awaiting the opportunity to join any team soon. Prior to their departure was inYourdreaM, who left shortly after their defeat in September and is now a member of the Army Geniuses team in Indonesia.

It will be interesting to see what team these players will play for and what NGX Sea will do to strengthen their team ahead of the next competitive season. Nonetheless, there is a chance that the NGX SEA will take a considerable amount of time to rebuild, given that the core NGX team, which based in Europe, is also in a slump and most likely to require more attention from the CEO. One option is that they could disband the team entirely. Let’s hope that won’t happen soon!

Former lineup : mizu, alaCrity, boombui, jhocam, inYourdreaM

Team win rate (all time): 47%
