Rocketing Into The Goalpost

Rocket League is working with Nike to bring an all-new limited-time event to players.

The event, with an original name Nike FC Cup to Rocket League, will be held exclusively from November 17 to December 6. Players will be able to represent their countries in their virtual vehicular soccer gameplay. Some special features include in-game prizes, a Nike-themed mode, a fan clash event, item shop content inspired by renowned soccer players and more.

The different special features will be rolled out over the span of several weeks. Firstly, 10 in-game challenges with unique prizes will be introduced. Examples of the prizes include Country Player Banners and Country Decals, for players to proudly showcase where they come from. These challenges will be available all the way until December 6.

Next up is the Fan Clash, which will be held from November 17 to 30. Players must first sign up on the Fan Clash website, also launching on November 17. From there, players can choose from up to 40 countries to represent. Earning points gets you on the Fan Clash leaderboard, which could lead to the winning title of “Nike FC Cup MVP”. The top five teams will receive the Nike FC 2022 Titanium White Goal Explosion as a reward. The lower placings from 5th all the way to 42nd will also earn rewards of varying size.

All-new item shop content is a big part of the Nike FC Cup. New items include the Nike Next Generation Pack as well as the Nike CR7 Pack. The CR7 Pack includes a decal inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo’s CR7 Mercurial Boot. If any of these interest you, you might want to start counting your money right about now.

For the second half of the Nike FC Cup, the Nike FC Showdown Limited Time Mode will be rolled out on November 30. At this point, new items like the Nike FC Pack 2022 will be added to the item shop, so players should stick around to get these while they can.

All in all, it’s shaping up to be a big deal for Rocket League players who want to earn unique items and represent their countries. We can only eagerly await watching whoever comes out on top.
