RRQ Deals with Injury Setback as Major MLBB Tournaments Await

The next two months will be quite demanding for RRQ Indonesia. In addition of representing Indonesia at M4 tournament in January 2023, they will compete at MPL Indonesia Season 11, which will follow immediately after. Unfortunately, their winning chance for the upcoming season remains in doubt, as one of their key players, Rivaldi “R7” Fatah, has revealed his current health condition.

The player, who has been a staple for RRQ’s Mobile Legends team since MPL Season 4, has recently disclosed the condition of his hands in a YouTube livestream session with his friend, Oura. R7 said he felt immense pain in both hands in the last few days.

R7 said that he had undergone multiple treatments in Thailand, including sports massages for his arms and hands. However, RRQ’s management advised him not to play until he receives additional diagnoses regarding the condition of his hands within the next few days.

With his health is still in question, his status as the team starter for the upcoming M4 tournament is in doubt. In addition, he stated that the M4 would likely be his last professional competition before he decides to take a sabbatical season to improve his health.

This means R7 will likely not participate in the upcoming MPL ID Season 11 competition. Obviously, this could be a significant setback for RRQ, as his skill and experience is badly needed against heavyweight names.

This is not the first serious injury that has occurred in RRQ’s Mobile Legend team. Former member Tuturu, who played as gold laner for RRQ from 2017 to 2020, was once diagnosed with similar injury. According to Tuturu, his overuse injury was so severe that his doctor had warned him not to play for several months, or even a year.

Several pro players across Indonesia have openly expressed their desire to play for RRQ, should R7 actually decides to take a long rest in the upcoming season. One of these players was Gerald “Dlar” Trinchera. The Filipino, who is currently playing for Evos Legends, has previously cast admiring glances at RRQ, saying that he would be happy to fill R7’s spot if possible.
