It was the biggest mismatch on paper – champions-elect Team Secret against wildcards PSG.LGD. It was no secret that fans were already licking their lips at a potential showdown between Team Secret, arguably the world’s best Dota 2 team, and the reinvigorated Evil Geniuses (EG). But PSG.LGD had other ideas.

Evil Geniuses, Team Secret, Invictus Gaming, and PSG.LGD swept the opposition aside, recording thumping victories which have moved them onto the next round of the winner’s brackets. Fnatic, Vici and Invictus still have a shot at the title, but will have to slug it out with the rest of the teams in the loser’s bracket
