In honor of Dota 2’s tenth anniversary, Valve finally went live with the special event that fans have been anticipating following a lot of buildup. Nonetheless, the release was a bit behind schedule given that the game’s original release date was July 9.

This event will provide special in-game item prizes for players which can be obtained on a certain condition. From courier skins to full skin sets, persona bundles, immortal weapons, and more, a total of 13 unique items will be released based on the anniversary of Dota 2, counting from the game’s initial beta.

  • 2011: 10th Anniversary Dolfrat and Roshinante Courier
  • 2012: 10th Anniversary The Alpine Stalker’s Set for Ursa
  • 2013: 10th Anniversary Relic Sword for Wraith King
  • 2014: 10th Anniversary Flimtail Courier
  • 2015: 10th Anniversary Bindings of the Deep Magma for Earthshaker
  • 2016: 10th Anniversary Staff of Gun-Yu for Monkey King
  • 2017: 10th Anniversary Heaven-Piercing Pauldrons for Invoker
  • 2018: 10th Anniversary Gabe Newell Chat Lines
  • 2019: 10th Anniversary Hidden Vector for Void Spirit
  • 2020: 10th Anniversary Aghanim’s Roshan
  • 2021: 10th Anniversary Mirana Persona Bundle
  • 2022: 10th Anniversary Shader Effect 2023
  • 2023: 10th Anniversary Tormentor

From now until Thursday, September 7, all you need to do is just win 13 games in the next three weeks to get them all. So get your party ready and grind through the pub to unlock all these prizes.

At the moment, responses to the 2023 centennial celebration are still pouring in from its community. Younger playerbase have appreciated Valve for giving them a chance to obtain some classic items, while some of their veteran players are not happy with the incentives for this year’s anniversary, believing they fell short of expectations.

This circumstance obviously raises concerns about Valve’s preparations for The International 12. Earlier this year, Valve stated that it would discontinue the battle pass system, which served as the primary source of content and financing for their highly anticipated yearly tournament.

The DPC 2021-2022 Regional Finals are back on and so are our rankings!

After some consideration (and a bit of fan pushback), Valve has brought back the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021-2022 Regional Finals! However, with the Omicron variant lingering, the DPC 2021-2022 season will look slightly different. These changes will trickle down into the lead up to The International 11 (TI11), but they’re happening nonetheless.

Quincy Crew in TI: “Anything can happen, it’s all about keeping our head down and working hard on ourselves,” says team player Ponlo

The International (TI) 11 is taking place in September 2022, about eight months from now. With a prize pool of approximately USD$45,000,000 and a good add of status to player names, it’s no wonder every team is scrambling to climb the ranks and qualify for the major tournament.
