Team Aster Claims First Ticket to Lima Major

Team Aster is officially the first team to qualify for The Lima Major, the first Major of the 2023 Dota Pro Circuit.

Team Aster hit a home run during the first two weeks of the China Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Winter Tour regional league, with a score of 5-0. This track record immediately landed them a spot in The Lima Major, the first-ever Major to be held in South America.

The Lima Major will run from 22 February to 5 March. It will host a total of 18 teams from six regions; four each from China and Western Europe, three each from Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe, as well as two each from North and South America. Aster is the first in all six regions to qualify. This also means that there are only three spots remaining for Chinese teams.

For now, Team Aster’s main rivals seem to be PSG.LGD, who were just one point behind at a final score of 4-1. The showdown between the two teams is scheduled for late in the China DPC Division one, tour one.

This points to a promising future for Aster. Just last year, in The International 11, they scored 4th place, higher than any other Chinese team. If they continue along this trajectory, they might just go all the way to the top.

Since this victory, fans have been showing support for Aster. They have also singled out team member Monet as the one they are most excited about.

While the final outcome remains to be seen, one thing is for sure: all eyes are on Team Aster.
