Topson Predicts TI 11’s Grand Final

It’s just days away from the finale of The International 11, which will be held on October 29 and 30, 2022.

Team Secret, Team Aster, Team Liquid, and Tundra Esports are still alive and will duke it out to seize the title.

And while many are rooting for a Secret and Liquid battle, one former champion is predicting a different scenario.

The International’s back-to-back winner and T1’s superstar, Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen, has recently stated his thoughts on the probability of winning between these four teams in TI 11.

The matchup between Tundra Esports and Team Secret will be a close call, according to Topson. He predicted, however, that the Tundra will defeat Team Secret in the final upper bracket match. He also stated that the battle between Aster and Team Liquid would be an interesting one to watch.

“I would guess Tundra beats Secret. That is how I feel like. It’s going to be really close, 2-1. Aster vs Liquid, to be honest, I have not watched a single Aster game so I don’t know anything about this team. I don’t know. It’s going to be really close,” said Topson on his recent Twitch streaming.

He went on to say that it would be’weird’ to see TI 11 being dominated by European teams. That is why he believed Team Aster, the only Asian team left in The International 11 so far, will progress further in TI 11.

He felt that, given the current circumstances, Tundra will win the upper bracket match. But Team Secret will most likely win the lower bracket final and meet Tundra again in the grand finals.

“Part of me feels like Aster will win this one but at the same time, Liquid has been winning all their games except they were very close with Thunder. I don’t know. I think Aster may be 60:40. This one – Secret vs Tundra – 70:30 for Tundra. And this could be the finals also – Secret vs Tundra. That’s my prediction.” he added in his livestream session.

He didn’t, however, say who will eventually lift the Aegis. After all, that might be too close to call.
