We ranked the worst three Worlds songs and now, it is time for the best three. Choosing the bottom three was tough, but choosing the top three was so. much. harder. It just goes to show how brilliant Worlds songs are, and boy, do these three make us want to rise up like a phoenix and burn it all down after listening to them.

3. Burn It All Down

This year’s Worlds song, Burn It All Down, may be the newest kid on the block but it certainly didn’t come to play. The lyrics are meaningful and fun at the same time, telling an inspiring underdog story that serves to motivate and celebrate the fighting spirit of gamers. Combine these lyrics with amazing vocals and adrenaline-pumping instrumentals and you get a song that makes you want to sing, dance and fight all at the same time. Oh, and need we say more about the music video? The animation, the featured players, the fantasy of donning your main’s gear and weapons! What’s not to love?

2. RISE

Highly regarded as one of the best Worlds songs, how could we NOT include RISE in this list? Not a dull pause in this intense banger, RISE only gets you more and more hyped up as the song progresses, perfectly embodying the adrenaline rush that only gaming can deliver. The beats are also truly unique, with an insane, iconic beat drop that makes you just want to scream along. The music video is also well-animated, jammed packed with player references and reminding us that the battle to git gud” is a constant one. RISE, RISE, RISE!

1. Phoenix

We had a really hard time choosing between Phoenix and Legends Never Die, but Phoenix takes the crown for number one. Apart from being a goosebump-inducing, musical feast for the ears, filled with beautiful vocals and great instrumentals to compliment them, the meaning behind the song is what really gets us. The whole song, centred around defeating your self-doubt, literally “killing” them and being reborn as a better you is really something that not only resonates in the gaming world, but also in daily life. How many times has self-doubt crushed your dreams or stopped you from doing what you want, from being the best version of yourself? Listening to this song only motivates us to do better, both online and offline.

So there you have it, the best three Worlds songs. With all eight Worlds songs so far being absolute masterpieces, we can’t wait to see what music Worlds 2022 (and beyond) has in store for us.
