Marvel Snap’s So-Called ‘Phase Two’ Is Coming

Expect exciting new competitive modes to enjoy with friends and all-new mods, with the game adding new languages.

Marvel Snap developer Second Dinner Studios announced this over the weekend in a tweet detailing a roadmap that will potentially take years to complete.

Among the changes that are arriving soon is the highly anticipated Battle Mode vs Friends. This mode is a whole new way for fans to enjoy the game, with the potential to organise competitions or have friendly competitive matches against friends. Players simply have to create or join a match, and the game proceeds with the winning player of each match dealing damage to the loser until one of them is out of health points. Pretty straightforward.

Other soon-to-be-implemented changes include language support for Russian and Vietnamese, in-game credit to artists, Infinity Split mods as well as the ability for players to change their display names. We should all start looking forward to the day ShouldveBeenClint and YourMom face off in a match.

Still in development, we will have a PC widescreen UI, smart decks which help players automatically create powerful new decks, Unranked Mode which allows players to test decks and strategies without the risk of losing Ranks, as well as new competitive modes that implement Battle Mode in cool new ways.

Still in the ‘concept’ phase, Second Dinner is working on an in-game social system called Guilds, an Infinity Rank Leaderboard, collectable emotes and card emojis, mythic variants, booster magnets, avatars and titles by deck, season cache improvements, PC controller support and in-game events.

This news comes after Marvel Snap won Best Mobile Game at the annual Game Awards.

Based on fan reactions so far, it seems that these upcoming developments are exactly what the fanbase has been looking for.
