Street Fighter 6 Releases Open Beta Across ALL Gaming Platforms

For fans who can’t wait for the release of Street Fighter 6 on 2 June 2023, good news: the highly-anticipated game will have an open beta from 19 May to 21 May.

Yes, this means that SFVI fans will be able to play the game for free.

Over the three days of the beta, players can access multiple modes including: Training Mode, Open Tournaments, Extreme Battles – and the new Battle Hub Matches, which allow multiplayer fighting across players on PS5, Xbox Series X and Steam. Players can fight with the newer characters – Luke, Jamie, Ryu and Kimberly – or stick to the old (but gold) characters Ryu, Chun-Li, Juri and Ken.

To access the open beta, players simply need to register for a Capcom ID and link their account to a gaming platform of their choice. While registration for the open beta can be done at any time, Capcom recommends users to sign up early to beat the traffic and ensure a smoother registration process.

It is no secret that the company is expecting a large volume of players to register for this open beta. After all, the game is the most popular fighting game at EVO – when it hasn’t even been released.

On Reddit, many prospective players are already praising Capcom for its confidence in releasing the open demo.

However, some did wish that the newer characters would be available in the demo.

Street Fighter 6 is already on its way to becoming a major hit in the Street Fighter franchise. It seems like the open demo will only boost fans’ anticipation and hype for the game’s release next month.
