Having been released just last week, Honkai Star Rail’s newest 5-star character, Silver Wolf, captured the hearts of many before her banner was even available. This Punklorde-native hacker may be tiny but her abilities as a support teammate packs a punch–given you’re able to build her well.
Here’s a quick and simple guide for those who may not know where to start with their Silver Wolf build:
Light Cone
Like most limited 5-star characters, Silver Wolf’s ideal weapon would be her signature Light Cone: Incessant Rain. Not only does it boost her Effect Hit Rate and CRIT Rate, it also boosts ATK dealt to a chosen target (by either herself or her teammates) for 1 turn after she uses her Basic ATK, Skill or Ultimate (so all the time, basically).
However, it goes without saying that not everyone can afford to pull for exclusive Light Cones so here are some solid alternatives that you can consider:
- Before The Tutorial Mission Starts
Although this option is a 4-star Light Cone, some actually consider this her best weapon due to the boosts it provides to her Effect Hit Rate as well as Energy Regeneration. However, this Light Cone is extremely limited in that it’s only available during the Starhunt Game Event which is slated to end in a little under a week from the publication of this article. So if you haven’t acquired it yet, now’s a great time to start chipping away at the event.
- Eyes of the Prey
This 4-star Light Cone increases Effect Hit Rate and DoT, the former of which can be especially useful for your Silver Wolf.
- Good Night and Sleep Well
Yet another 4-star alternative, this Light Cone can be considered if you’d prefer greater DMG output over boosting Silver Wolf’s utility (which is not really recommended since she’s a much better debuffer than DPS but you should play however you want to!) since it increases DMG dealt to a target enemy based on how many debuffs it has.
Relics
- 4-piece Genius of Brilliant Stars
Silver Wolf’s ideal relic set, this increases Quantum DMG (2-piece) and ignores 10% of the target enemy’s DEF when she attacks. If the enemy has Quantum Weakness, she ignores an additional 10% enemy DEF. (4-piece).
- 4-piece Musketeer of Wild Wheat
This set buffs overall ATK (2-piece) and increases SPD and Basic ATK DMG (4-piece).
As for Planar Ornament sets, you may consider Pan-Galactic Commercial Enterprise for the 10% increase it can provide to her Effect Hit Rate as well as a nice ATK boost. Fleet of the Ageless is another set you can use if you already have more than 120 SPD on Silver Wolf as this increases all her allies’ ATK by 8% (the set also increases her HP but that’s not as important).
