Bren Esports Handed Blacklist International Biggest Humiliation in MPL Philippines Season 11

Bren Esports emerged as the victor of the eleventh series of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Pro League Philippines (MPL PH) regular season, tied with Echo Philippines with 11 wins and 3 losses. However, Bren’s superior head-to-head record secured their spot in the top position. A stunning win against Blacklist International in their final match solidified their status as this season’s new favorites.

Despite facing off against the reigning MPL PH S10 queen and M4 winner, Blacklist International, Bren Esports dominated the match. Marco “Super Marco” Requitano and Kyle Angelo “KyleTzy” Sayson showcased their exceptional skills and quickly dismantled Blacklist’s formation. KyleTzy expertly navigated the map with his signature hero, Fanny, leaving Blacklist with no room to escape. ended with a score of 20 to 3, with KyleTzy leading in kills.

In the second game, Super Marco annihilated Blacklist with one of his favorites in the current meta, WanWan, securing Bren’s victory with a final score of 17-0.

The loss was a significant setback for Blacklist International, marking their most embarrassing defeat to date. Some viewers criticized their jungler tank tactics, which have been highlighted by international players, for their declining efficiency against teams that employ flexible junglers and gold laners.

Others noted that Blacklist failed to consider their previous encounter with Bren Esports in Season 10, where Bren nearly pulled off a reverse sweep against them in the first round of the upper bracket. Despite the loss, Blacklist International secured third place with 8 wins and 6 losses, thanks to Echo Philippines‘ victories over Omega Esports and RSG Slate Philippines. Without these wins, Blacklist may have ended up in a lower bracket position.
