MPL PH Season 12 Week 3: Echo Philippines Concludes First Half of Season with a Flawless Streak

Echo Philippines has extended their winning streak in the third week of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Pro League Philippines Season 12 and widened the gap between themselves and the second to fourth places, which are currently held by Onic Philippines, Blacklist International, and AP Bren.

The reigning champions recorded a perfect run in the first half of MPL PH S12 season this week with 18 points from 17 games after beating Evos Minana and AP Bren on matchdays 1 and 2. In a similar vein to their match against RSG PH last week, Echo got stunned by Evos in game 1, who won it in 12 minutes and 32 seconds. The Purple Orca army, however, returned the favor in the following two rounds. Frederic “Bennyqt” Gonzales and Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya stole the show with their impressive kills in game 3, totaling 10 kills and 11 assists.

With only one team left to play, many people thought that AP Bren, the new Filipino sensation, would stop Echo from going undefeated by the end of their first half run. Unfortunately, their early advantages were unable to prevent Echo from dominating in the late stages of both games.

Meanwhile, Blacklist International returned to their winning path on matchdays 2 and 3 by defeating TNC Predator and AP Bren, respectively. Kiel “Oheb” Soriano and Stephen “Sensui” Castillo’s potent combination broke Bren’s tight resistance, handing the squad its third setback in three weeks.

However, the former champions of Philippines still have a lot of work to do in the coming week to climb to second place, and reducing the gap between them and Echo, who is further ahead in first place. They are now only one point behind Onic Philippines, who recently astonished the MPL PH audience with a remarkable recovery after a disappointing start.
