Mobazane Prefers Indonesia Over Philippines as His Next Professional MLBB Career Stop

The famous Mobile Legends: Bang Bang pro player from the BloodThirstyKing team, Michael “MobaZane” Cosgun, has claimed that he would prefer an offer from an Indonesian club over one from the Philippines, if he ever gets the chance to join a professional MLBB competition in SEA.

During a live streaming session on his own YouTube channel last Tuesday, MobaZane stated his displeasure with how Moonton handles MLBB competition in North America and suggested that if the situation remained the same, he may join another league. A viewer then asked whether MobaZane was more interested in playing in Indonesia or the Philippines, in which he quickly responded that the opportunity to play in Indonesia is more attractive than the Philippines, especially from a financial point of view. He went on to say that “nobody really wants to go to the Philippines. There are way more money in Indonesia.”

Beyond the monetary reason, Zane expressed admiration for his Indonesian fanbase. He revealed that, according to his social media engagement data, his fans from Indonesia outnumber those from other regions outside of North America.

“I have way more fans in Indonesia. Last time I checked, in the past 7 days, 45 per cent of fans are Indonesian. So why would I go to PH?” said Zane. This, of course, backed by the fact that there were a lot of Indonesian fans who rooted for Zane and came to see him in flesh during M4 tournament in Jakarta in January.

Of course, it remains to be seen whether Zane will accept an offer from Indonesia after making such a statement. Zane’s Indonesian fans, however, will likely have to wait a little longer, since he has stated that he will only consider any offer after the M5 tournament. This implies Zane will not be going anywhere until the end of December 2023.

In the previous two years, Zane has emerged as a standout MLBB pro player. He is notorious for his blunt approach of replying to opponents, bordering on trash talking, which stands in stark contrast to Southeast Asia’s competitive culture. He’s not just all talk, however, as he has repeatedly demonstrated his abilities by defeating the favourite teams. Among them were victories over Blacklist International on M3 and Todak on M4.
