Exclusive: MP the King of See You Soon Commends Onic Esports Sanz’s Standout Performance in Yesterday’s Clash

In a standout performance during Wednesday’s matches (6/12/2023), Gilang “Sanz” of Onic Esports took center stage, securing a remarkable 2-0 victory over Cambodia’s representative, See You Soon. This win not only concluded Onic’s group stage with an unblemished record but also earned Sanz accolades from both analysts and fellow players, including SYS’s jungler Michael “MP the King” Endino.

Speaking to Ulti Asia, MP disclosed the formidable challenge posed by Onic Esports’ midlaner. Sanz’s exceptional gameplay, particularly with heroes Novaria and Valentina, resulted in him clinching the MVP title for the match. Sanz’s back-to-back MVP awards in the series against SYS further solidified his prominence in the ongoing M5 World Championship.

Reflecting on the encounter, he commented, “Sanz’s performance was phenomenal. He was elusive, consistently applying pressure throughout the game. In the first match with Novaria, he adeptly poking and baited us. And in the second game, he strategically froze the midlane, we were completely clueless.”

Sanz’s pivotal moments included decisive eliminations of SYS players, showcasing not only strategic acumen but also mechanical finesse in evading his opponents’ lightning-fast attacks with a little health left on him. Unsurprisingly, Sanz’s stellar display earned him well-deserved acclaim from fans of Onic Esports.

With three consecutive victories, Sanz and Onic Esports have secured a flawless record in Group A. Alongside AP Bren and Blacklist International, they are poised to be frontrunners, likely making a strong impact in the top four of the M5 tournament.
