MPL PH S13 Week 5: The Big Three Punch Their Tickets to MPL PH Playoffs

After navigating through a tumultuous few weeks, the triumvirate of AP Bren, Echo, and Onic PH have cemented their berths in the playoffs of MLBB Pro League Philippines Season 13, courtesy of victorious outings in the recently concluded fifth week.

Save for the eagerly anticipated showdown between Bren and Echo, yet to unfold until the curtain falls on the final matchweek, these three juggernauts have engaged in a relentless tussle for supremacy, exchanging blows and notching impressive victories over one another. Now, their quest shifts towards accruing maximum points by defeating teams languishing in the lower echelons of the standings.

Bren, spearheading the charge, has reclaimed the top spot in the standings by dispatching both TNC Pro (4/20) and Minana Evos (4/21) with no problem at all. The Hive clinical displays has propelled it to a tally of 27 points thus far, firmly establishing its dominance.

Meanwhile, occupying the runner-up spot is Onic PH, whose aspirations of extending the winning streak was dashed by a shock defeat to RSG PH on Friday (4/19). Nevertheless, the Yellow Porcupine army regrouped to take down Omega Esports the following day, amassing a total of 24 points. We reckon these Onic boys still have a lot of tricks up their sleeves in the coming weeks.

Echo, the fan-favorite, has staged a remarkable resurgence after enduring a turbulent spell in the fourth week. With resounding victories over Omega Esports and RSG PH on consecutive days, the Purple Orca has narrowed the gap with the frontrunners, accumulating 22 points in the process. Echo’s unwavering resolve underscores its winning mentality.

Beyond these top trio, Blacklist International has finally found its mojo, clinching crucial victories over Minana Evos and TNC Pro. Although they have distanced themselves from the relegation zone, toppling the resilient RSG PH from its current fourth-place spot would be tough, given the Raider’s current form.

With the abolition of the play-in system this season, it is all but certain that the top contenders will leave no stone unturned in their quest of glory, striving to maintain their lofty positions and evade the looming specter of a potential premature exit in the single-elimination round.
