Revitalized Team RRQ Passes Week 1 of MPL ID Season 12 with Flying Colors

The first week of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Pro League Indonesia Season 12 has concluded with an extraordinary performance from the veteran team, Team RRQ, who is standing at the top of the table with three wins. This good result came as a surprise, considering that RRQ faced many problems prior to the opening week of MPL ID S12.

Last month in the MPL ID transfer market, RRQ received harsh criticism from its supporters after releasing two of their key players, Albert “Alberttt” Iskandar (Onic Esports) and Calvyn “Vyn” (Bigetron Alpha), as well as head coach Regi “Bangduk” Kurniawan. To compensate for their loss, RRQ signed Ferdyansyah “Ferxiic” Kamaruddin from their rival, Evos Legends, and imported two Myanmar stars, the offlaner Min “Naomi” Ko and the head coach Zaya “Sayargyi” Paing.

Unfortunately for them, the former Falcon Esports squad members were unable to be registered as members of the team right away owing to Visa issues, which caused the two of them to return to Myanmar during the ESL Snapdragon Pro Series Season 3 tournament. RRQ was defeated in the Last Slot Decider round and failed to advance to the Open Finals. This setback reinforced the doubts of its admirers, who believed that the RRQ period had come to an end.

Those reservations were put to rest when the RRQ squad concluded the first week of MPL ID Season 12 with a flawless score. Ferxiic and its new captain, Deden “Clayyy” Nurhasan, have improved significantly after being heavily criticized the previous season. Meanwhile, Naomi showed amazing chemistry with his teammates despite the fact that he has only been on the squad for a few weeks. They defeated the Aura Fire and Rebellion teams, as well as the king of MLBB SEA, Onic Esports, who had always defeated them in the previous two seasons.

The growth of Baxia, who has become Ferxiic’s staple this season, is a strength in and of itself for the RRQ squad, which bases its team composition around this hero. At the moment, many MLBB experts and analysts believe players are still figuring out a way to beat Ferxiic’s Baxia. They predict that if this trend continues, RRQ will easily progress to the playoffs, especially with a top-class player like Naomi as their roamer.

Aside from RRQ, the Bigetron Alpha and newcomer Dewa United have also surprised with two wins so far. Bigetron, which had been lackluster in the last season, is showing signs of stability with Vyn as their captain. Meanwhile, Dewa United’s youthful players appear energetic when playing alongside their new signing and MPL ID S1 winner Supriadi “Watt” Dwi Putra. With one game to be played in the next week 2, both have the chance to surpass RRQ at the top.
