Cheers!

Two major names in the Philippines Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) scene, Sanford Marin Vinuya and Johnmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna, are set to receive prestigious awards for their contributions to the regional competition.

Sanford and OhMyV33nus played a key role in their team’s success, with Sanford helping Echo PH win the MPL Philippines Season 11 and OhMyV33nus leading Blacklist International to victory in seasons 7, 8, and 10.

The awards ceremony, sponsored by Razer Gold, will take place tomorrow afternoon at the Amelie Hotel in Manila. Sanford will be recognized as the “Breakout Player of the Year,” while OhMyV33nus will be honored with the “Comeback Player of the Year” award.

Sanford’s exceptional performance with Echo Philippines, which won the M4 World Championship in Jakarta, earned him the Breakout Player award. His outstanding gameplay has carried over into this season, with Echo dominating MPL Philippines Season 11 thus far. Sanford’s growth over the past two years since leaving the EVOS Nexplay bench for Echo has been impressive, and his victory over heavyweight names such as RRQ Hoshi and Blacklist International in the grand finals at the age of 16 was remarkable.

Meanwhile, OhMyV33nus is considered the key player who helped Blacklist International win the MPL PH title in seasons 7, 8, and 10. He was also instrumental in the team’s success during the M3 2022 in Singapore, where he and his teammate Wise were considered the MVPs. OhMyV33nus’s ability to rally his team in crucial moments, often resulting in reverse sweep victories for Blacklist, has earned him the Comeback Player of the Year award.

Overall, both Sanford and OhMyV33nus have left an indelible mark on the Philippines MLBB scene and are deserving of the recognition they will receive at the MPL Philippines Press Corps Award Ceremony to be held on March 8, 2023.
