Tazz Claims Evos Legends is Planning a Major Overhaul After Disappointing MPL ID Season 12

Darrel “Tazz” Wijaya of Evos Legends recently revealed that his team intends to completely overhaul their squad following their terrible results in the regular season of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Pro League Indonesia 12, which ended a few days ago.

Although the Blue Tiger army did pretty well in the first three weeks of the regular season, they went on a surprising slump after the league’s break from August 20 to September 7. They were eventually ousted by teams that were less favored at the start, such as Rebellion Zion and Dewa United, after being unable to maintain their position in the top four.

Their failure marked the second time that the legendary team failed to advance to the playoffs after Season 9 in October 2022. This was subsequently addressed by pundits, who highlighted their poor decision, which allegedly resulted in a decline in their performance during the second half of the season, including a sudden tactical change and the failure to employ the right players who have great potential to compete against heavyweights.

While some viewers believed that their subpar performances may be attributed to their transition plans, their ardent supporters, Evos Fams, are growing impatient and venting their rage on social media. The majority of them urged that the team’s administration make significant changes before the start of the next season. And according to Tazz, this is likely to happen soon.

During his recent live stream session, he responded to one of the viewers who asked about news regarding the Evos Legends coaching team, who could be fired soon. He added that no one, including himself, is assured to be in a safe position because the club was reportedly very unhappy with their failure to make the Season 12 playoffs.

Based on current reports, head coach Steven “Age” Gunawan and analyst Stenley “TaxStump” Hermawan are most likely to be let go by the management, while the Evos Icon squad will be called to replace the regular team players who have played this season. However, it is impossible to imagine Tazz, who has contributed significantly this season, being thrown off the team as well.

It will be a new era for the M1 champions if this change goes through, considering they have lost nearly all of their senior players over the last few seasons.  They also haven’t found a suitable replacement for Bjorn “Zeys” Ong, who resigned as head coach in February, so there’s that to worry about as well.
