Team Secret Signs Bigetron Twins for the Upcoming MPL Malaysia Season 12

Team Secret Malaysia has announced the addition of two Bigetron twins, Maxwell “Maxx” Alessandro and Matthew “Matt” Geraldo, to its Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Pro League team. The twins will be joining them on loan for the upcoming MPL Malaysia Season 12.

Both of these twins have been teammates on MLBB Bigetron Alpha since 2020. However, they have had fairly different outcomes in their esports careers. Maxx has been a key member of Bigetron Alpha’s roster for the past two years, while Matt has demoted twice during his stint in Bigetron Beta, and was briefly demoted before being loaned out to the Geek Slate during MPL ID Season 11.

It was rumoured a year ago that both of them were unhappy with the situations on the Bigetron Alpha team. Even after winning the Piala Presiden MLBB in Indonesia last year, Maxx told MLBB Indonesia commentator, Jonathan Liandi, that he preferred to play in the lower division, MDL ID, rather than the MPL ID. He reasoned that he had numerous disputes with the coaching team at the time, particularly with the the Philippines technical coach, Jian “Pauloxpert” Paulo Magno. He believed that Pauloxpert had failed to establish a proper communication with his teammates.

The addition of players with experience and great flexibility such as Maxx and Matt is expected to boost Team Secret’s performance, especially after their disappointing debut in the MPL Malaysia Season 11 last February. Despite being anticipated to be the dark horse in the MPL MY, they were humiliated every week and failed to advance to the playoffs. Team Secret concluded their season without a single victory.

The twins will be joining their teammates Arya “Barbossa” Al Nazhari, who joined the Homebois team on loan since January 2023. Barbossa was named as one of the key players for the Homebois team when he helped his team to secure third-place finish in MPL MY Season 11.
