VeeWise Remains on Break as Blacklist International Reveals MPL PH Season 13 Lineup

Surprise! Blacklist International just dropped some news about their squad for the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines (MPL PH) Season 13. And as you may have guessed, the iconic duo of Johnmar “OHMYV33NUS” Villaluna and Danerie “Wise” Rosario are extending their break from competitive play to focus on content creation, just like they did last year.

Additionally, the team will go without Renejay “Renejay” Barcase, who rocked it for them in MPL PH Season 12 and M5 in the Philippines. The 20-year-old has decided to take a break to focus on his personal matters and will be replaced by Salic “Hadji” Imam, who just made a switch to the roamer role.

As the roster takes shape for MPL PH Season 13, Blacklist International retains the core lineup from M5, welcoming back Mark “Eson” Gerardo to the regular fold after his hiatus since February 2023. However, the announcement has sparked discussion among Blacklist International’s ardent fans, who harbor concerns over the potential retirement of the VeeWise duo from professional MLBB competition.

The VeeWise duo’s last professional appearance was at the MLBB Southeast Asia Cup in Cambodia in June 2023. Since then, they’ve pivoted towards content creation, expressing interest in returning to MLBB as coaches or analysts, even contemplating team changes if lucrative offers arise.

Yet, uncertainty looms over their future in professional MLBB, especially amid strained relations with Moonton. The duo found themselves embroiled in controversy following last year’s ‘Moonton’s 10 Greatest Players List’ dispute. To add to the intrigue, Riot seized an opportunity to feature the duo in a special event tailored to promote League of Legends in the Philippines.

Going forward, it seems MLBB fans have to wait patiently for the duo’s upcoming podcast to catch some hints about whether they’re going to retire from the pro scene and perhaps explore new opportunities beyond the Philippines.
