MPL PH Season 12 Week 4: KarlTzy Reaches a New High as Echo Philippines Winning Streak Continues

The reigning champions, Echo Philippines, stretched their winning streak to an incredible nine wins in the fourth week of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Pro League Philippines Season 12. And given how things are going with the teams below them in the standings, it’s hard to see how their clean sheet goal will be broken.

The Purple Orca army swept the revitalized Onic Philippines 2-0 in their final matchday of week 4, snapping the Yellow Hedgehog’s five-game winning streak. Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales and Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno shone as stars of the match, effectively shutting down Onic’s players in game 1 and overcoming their deficit in game 2.

Even more amazing was that by the end of that game, KarlTzy had racked up 18 assists, bringing his career total to over 2,000 and putting him in the top four all-time in the Philippines MLBB competition scene. With the likelihood of Echo making the playoffs, he has a great opportunity to raise it even higher.

On the other hand, Echo’s domestic rival Blacklist International’s woes continue, as they dropped out of the top three after a three-game losing streak this week against Echo, Smart Omega, and RSG Philippines, with critics pointing to Renejay “Renejay” Barcase and Kiel “Oheb” Soriano for making uncharacteristic errors.

With five wins and five losses, Blacklist fell from third to fifth place, one point behind AP.Bren, who has reclaimed third place, and Onic PH, who is now fourth. RSG Philippines is now second with 17 points after six wins and four losses.

MPL PH Season 12 Week 5 will continue on Friday, October 6th. Echo will try to extend their winning streak against TNC Predator and Omega Smart, while Blacklist must improve on their formula to overcome Evos Minana and Onic PH and close the gap with RSG PH.
