Gaimin Gladiators Poised to Shake Up MLBB Esports Scene

2024 is turning out to be Mobile Legends: Bang Bang’s lucky year, huh? It’s not just Southeast Asia anymore; other regions are eyeing a piece of the action too. Take Europe’s Gaimin Gladiators, for example. Word on the street is they’re gearing up to dive into the MLBB scene.

Rumor has it, they’re eyeing the roster of TheOhioBrothers, the North American hotshots who rocked the M5 World Championship. And it seems like a smart move, especially since TheOhioBrothers were sniffing around for sponsorship for the upcoming 2024 NACT Spring Season.

Now, here’s the kicker: GG dropped a mysterious hint on Twitter, fueling speculation about their MLBB debut. However, they haven’t confirmed squat yet for the 2024 NACT Spring Season.

This year’s NACT offers heightened stakes with a direct slot to the MSC 2024 in Saudi Arabia. The lucrative prize pool is attracting top North American MLBB talent. Aside from ToB, renowned NA players such as Victor, Michael “MobaZane” Cosgun, and Peter “Basic” Lozano are reigniting their focus and determination in preparation for the upcoming challenges.

When it comes to esports, GG clearly got some serious street cred under its belt. Last year, their Dota 2 squad racking up wins left and right. They dominated all the Majors in 2023 and even rocked Dream League Season 19 and 20. Plus, they snagged a runner-up spot in The International 2023. In the mobile gaming scene, the organization surprised everyone with its all-Russian squad during the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2023.

But hey, GG isn’t the first big shot European esports crew to dip their toes into MLBB. Remember Team Secret? They gave it a shot in the Malaysian scene, hitting up the MPL MY series. Unfortunately, their performance was a major letdown. They couldn’t even make the cut for MPL MY Season 13—they got booted out in the qualifiers.
