Sogo Gakuen also plans to expand the educational content, focusing on in-depth studies of the esports industry.Established in 2020, this program has collaborated with several top esports organizations from outside Japan, including Paper Rex, T1, Dplus, and more. The program’s primary objective is to elevate the standard of esports and professional gameplay in Japan. It also offers participants an opportunity to compete against professional players to identify and address their individual weaknesses. For Paper Rex, Japan definitely holds a special place in their hearts, given the team discovered the underdog Ilya “something” Petrov in the competitive scene of the country, In less than a year, he played a pivotal role in helping them compete against formidable teams worldwide, such as Fnatic, Evil Geniuses, and DRX. Additionally, their popularity in Japan soared following their exceptional performance at the Masters Tokyo competition last year.
