Deck your PCs and consoles, gamers, Christmas is upon us again! Time to log into your favourite games with Christmas events and spend the holidays grinding your rank (or actually enjoy playing your games.)

To celebrate this magical time of year when your toxic teammates end up on Santa’s naughty list, Ulti.asia gives you the ultimate gift of laughter with this week’s Christmas-themed Meme Monday!

Well-known and beloved for always giving us free games, Epic Games is certainly the Santa Claus of the gaming world. This Christmas season, Epic Games Store is giving a free game every day for 15 days! No thank you, ridiculously overpriced advent calendars, Epic Games has got us (and our wallets) covered.

Thanks to Omicron, Christmas gatherings and celebrations this year are taking a hit…again. Well, look at the bright side! At least you can still hang out with the homies in online multiplayer games (bonus if the game has Christmas events!)

Ah, the legends of Half-Life 3 and Grand Theft Auto VI… While there have been plenty of rumours and speculation floating around their developments, just keep adding them on to your Christmas wishlist for now! (At least we’ve checked FF7-Remake off the list recently)

An iconic Christmas figure, second only to Santa Claus himself, Michael Bublé resurfaces annually to grace our radios (and shopping mall toilets) with his legendary Christmas songs. As someone who has unironically listened to them on repeat since October, I am NOT complaining.

RIP to all the gamers who have experienced receiving a gift from someone only to discover that it is a DLC/expansion pack to a game you don’t even have. Pro-tip: When that happens, just thank the person and go. It’s an honest mistake and a sweet and thoughtful gesture nonetheless! At least it’s not a re-gifted present from 2012. (I may or may not have received one of those.)

It’s only midway through January and Riot is already treating us well with the release of two new characters: Neon from Valorant and Zeri from League of Legends (LOL). Even better, Neon is canonically Filipino, a huge win for Southeast Asian gamers! But we, like the rest of the internet, are seeing double – Neon and Zeri are practically the same person. Case in point: They are voiced by the same Filipino voice actress, have very similar abilities and look basically identical. We can’t help but think that Riot is trying to hint at something…a Riot multiverse, perhaps? It won’t be too far-fetched, since crossovers between both games have happened and Valorant’s storyline literally revolves around a second Earth from another universe. Alright, that’s enough speculation. This Meme Monday, we bring you PROOF of the Riot-Verse. Well, kinda.
