After a long wait and some interesting leaks last year, Activision has finally announced that its next big mobile project, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, will be released worldwide on March 21st for iOS and Android mobile devices. The official announcement revealed some interesting updates, including cross-platform progression and the inclusion of classic maps.

In Warzone Mobile, players will be allowed to link up their progress from Modern Warfare 3 and the PC/Console versions. That means leveling up, upgrading weapons, and snagging bundles will carry over across all games. Just like on consoles, Warzone Mobile lets you customize controls to fit your style. You can move controller inputs around and even connect your favorite controller.

At launch, two popular maps, Verdansk and Rebirth Island, will be included and play out just like the console version. Verdansk will support up to 120 players in battle royale mode, while Rebirth Island will be limited to 48 players for faster and tighter action. And if you’re not a fan of battle royale, there are still plenty of popular modes to play, such as Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Search & Destroy.

Pre-registration bonus awaits

If you haven’t caught wind of it yet, there’s still time to hop over to the iOS/Android stores and pre-register for the game to receive some sweet in-game items at launch. And to make sure your gaming experience is smooth sailing, be sure to check out the official page and see if your device can handle the action.

For those who already signed up, you will receive sets like ‘The Ghost “Condemned” Operator Skin’, The M4 “Archfiend” and X12 “Prince of Hell” Weapon Blueprints, The “Foe’s Flame” Vinyl, and The “Dark Familiar” Emblem. Furthermore, exclusive mobile content is expected to arrive shortly after the global release.

As of now, Activision spilled the beans that Warzone Mobile has already racked up over 50 million pre-registrations, and it’s probably gonna keep climbing, with all the buzz it’s generating. Given its popularity, Warzone Mobile could totally give PUBG Mobile a run for its money as the top dog in the mobile battle royale scene, and it might happen soon.
