Chaknu and Oheb Expressed Interest in MPL Indonesia

Two Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Pro League Philippines players, Joshua “Chaknu” Mangilog (Smart Omega) and Kiel “Oheb” Soriano (Blacklist International), have recently revealed their choices if they were offered an offer to play for a professional Indonesian team.

On April 16, Chaknu and Oheb came to Indonesia as one of guest stars for an event titled ‘Mabar MLBB All Star’ which was held in Surabaya, East Java. On the eve of the tournament, the two of them toured Surabaya and joined Evos Esports’ Maxhill “Antimage” Leonardo as special guests on his Youtube video.

In his video, Antimage was inviting both of them to try Surabaya street cuisine while posing some thought-provoking questions regarding the ongoing MLBB professional competition. One of the questions was which team they will pick if they receive offers to play in MPL Indonesia.

“If Indonesian teams want to buy both of you, which team will you go to?” asked Antimage in the video. Chaknu responded that he would choose RRQ, while Oheb expressed his interest in joining RRQ, Evos or Onic Esports. He even half-jokingly said that he wanted to play with Chaknu in RRQ.

“I don’t know. Maybe RRQ or Evos, or Onic.” Oheb said. “I think every team (in MPL ID) is good. Maybe RRQ with Chaknu!” They then argued that Onic is currently the favorite due to their amazing performance in the MPL ID Season 11 competition, which ended a little over a week before the MLBB All Star event at that time.

Should the two of them decided to go to MPL ID in the near future, they will undoubtedly become the most important transfers in MPL ID, adding more heat to an already intense MPL ID. Even so, it is very likely that Indonesian teams will have to spend large transfer funds if they want to bring in the two of them, especially Oheb who is an international champion and M3’s MVP in 2021.
