Geek Fam’s MLBB Head Coach Announces Shocking Exit After Stellar Season

In a surprising turn of events, Ervan “Ervan” Pratama, the esteemed head coach of the MLBB team Geek Fam, has announced his departure after an impresive six-month tenure. While the team has yet to confirm this development officially, Ervan took to social media earlier today to clarify his decision.

Making the announcement via his personal Instagram account, the 25-year-old coach expressed his intent to explore new opportunities for the upcoming season. Ervan revealed his pursuit of an analyst role within an MLBB team, indicating his willingness to relocate to any region for the right opportunity. Confirming his decision in the comments section of the Halaman 1 account, Ervan assured fans that his departure from Geek Fam is imminent.

Ervan’s departure comes as a surprise to many, given the commendable results he achieved during his tenure, particularly in MPL ID Season 12 last year. Tasked with revitalizing Geek Fam’s performance midway through the competition, Ervan initially faced challenges. However, the former Onic Prodigy analyst succeeded in bolstering the team’s chemistry, notably relying on the strategic prowess of Filipino duo Allen “Baloyskie” Baloy and Mark “Markyyy” Capacio, alongside local rising star Mohammad “Cadeera” Pambudi.

With Ervan leading the charge, the Geek Fam squad pulled off some epic wins against the likes of Dewa United, Team RRQ, and Bigetron Alpha. They snagged a sweet spot in the grand final of MPL ID Season 12 and punched their ticket to the M-Series for the first time ever. Sure, their run in the knockout round of M6 in the Philippines didn’t end on the high note, but fans were still crossing their fingers that Ervan would keep pushing the team to new heights come Season 13.

With Ervan’s departure looming, Geek Fam faces the daunting task of securing a new head coach within a tight timeframe. Speculation abounds regarding potential candidates from Indonesia or the Philippines to fill Ervan’s shoes. Additionally, there is speculation that Geek Fam may tap into its own talent pool, considering promoting Baloy to assume the analyst role vacated by Ervan.
